Rebbe Steiner Sajele of Kerestir absorbed immense Torah knowledge and wisdom while studying in Liska, under the guidance of Reb Hershele Friedmann. This knowledge paved the way for his remarkable journey in serving the community.

The spiritual center of Hasidism

Under Reb Hershele Friedman's leadership, Liska (Olaszliszka) became a spiritual center of Hasidism, drawing thousands who came to see him.

Moshe Teitelbaum’s enduring heritage.

Hershele's initial knowledge was acquired by Yismach Moshe, who was the Rebbe of Ujhely (Sátoraljaújhely).  Teitelbaum appointed Hershele as his successor, whose wisdom continues to spread across the world daily.
